I grew up in the South of France, in the beautiful region of Provence. Captivated very early by local myths and legends, I developed a huge thirst for discovering new cultures, arts, and languages, thanks to various travels with my family in Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Very interested in all forms of art and spending hours drawing artists’ illustrations seen in books and movies, then trying to create my own magical worlds, I needed to know more. I learned watercolors with an artist from age 8 to 12, then participated in a group exhibition in France in 2001 where I received a gold medal for the kids’ section and a prize called “Jeune Espoir” (Young Hope).
Fascinated by ancient civilizations, I studied Archaeology and Art History in Montpellier (France). During the Summer before I entered my Master’s Degree, I did a one-month training course at the Academy of Arts in Avignon. The goal: learning academic drawing and oil painting with studies from the masters.
After a few years working in cultural institutions, in search of new adventures, I moved to Montreal in 2015. There, I graduated with a Master’s degree in Museum Studies while working in a museum as a Collections Assistant.
In 2018, I completely rediscovered art. I began to work again with traditional mediums like graphite pencils, watercolour, and ink. I am currently a full-time illustration artist, working in the comfort of my studio, surrounded by many plants, books, oddities & curiosities… and always in the good company of my cat, Loki.
J'ai grandi dans le Sud de la France, dans la belle région de Provence. Intriguée par les mythes locaux, j’ai développé très jeune une soif de découverte d’autres cultures, arts et langues au cours de voyages en famille en Europe, Afrique et Asie.
Très attirée par toutes formes d’art, passant des heures à recopier des illustrations d’artistes dans des livres ou des scènes de films et dessins animés, puis essayant de construire mes propres univers fantastiques, je voulais en savoir plus. J’ai appris l'aquarelle avec une artiste de 8 à 12 ans et participé à une exposition collective en France en 2001 où j'ai reçu une médaille d'or pour la section enfants et un prix appelé "Jeune Espoir".
Fascinée par les civilisations anciennes, j’effectue une licence en Histoire de l’Art et Archéologie à Montpellier (France). L’été avant d’entamer ma maîtrise, j'ai eu la chance de suivre un stage d'un mois à l'Académie des Arts d'Avignon. L’objectif: apprendre le dessin académique et la peinture à l'huile, m’introduisant à l’étude d’oeuvres de maîtres.
Après quelques années à travailler dans le domaine de la culture, ma soif d’aventure m'a conduite à m'installer à Montréal en 2015, afin d’y poursuivre des études en muséologie tout en travaillant dans un musée au service des collections.
En 2018, j’ai redécouvert la pratique des arts. J’ai recommencé à travailler avec les crayons, l’aquarelle et l’encre tous les jours. Je suis actuellement artiste - illustratrice indépendante à temps plein, créant dans le confort de mon studio, entourée de plantes, de livres, et de curiosités… et toujours accompagnée de mon chat, Loki.
